VISION | POWER | SOLUTIONS (VPS) is a quarterly four-part virtual workshop series designed to build capacity for community-driven planning among facilitators, organizers, leaders, and educators who are accountable to Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Asain/Pacific Islander communities. This series is part of a larger effort to foster a community of practice and facilitator referral network within the field of community-driven planning.

This series is sponsored by People’s Climate Innovation Center and the National Association of Climate Resilience Planners (NACRP), in partnership with Facilitating Power. Our content and approach is derived from the Community-Driven Climate Resilience Planning Framework with input from NACRP members, facilitators, advisors, and core partners.

Those who complete the VPS series are invited to join the National Association of Climate Resilience Planners (NACRP). If you are currently a NACRP member you are eligible for a workshop registration discount, please contact nacrp@climateinnovation.net to receive your discount code.

Please select the workshops you would like to register for below. We encourage participants to register for the full series, which includes four 2.5 hour live (virtual) workshops and four live (virtual) 90 minute applied practice peer cyphers. Peer cyphers are held two weeks following each workshop.

All workshops will be recorded and shared with participants, if they are unable to attend. Live participation is strongly encouraged and recommended!

All workshops will include the following elements:

  • Overview of the principles & practices of community-driven planning
  • Time for reflection on the work participants are doing in the communities to which they are accountable
  • Sharing of stories, lessons, and methods from leaders experienced in community-driven planning
  • Dialogue between participants
  • The chance to follow-up in an applied practice peer learning cypher, where participants can share challenges they are facing and discuss them with other practitioners in the field of community-driven planning

Sessions are $100/each (including a peer cypher 2 weeks after each workshop)
